It's the day that leaders of the American colonies signed a declaration of independence from king George and was the catalyst for the american revution..or the colonial rebellion (depending on what side your on).
Its a very important Holiday for me and my fellow Americans.
No hard feelings Brits...

No it's England saying we will let you be your own country so jog on england started feeling reformed and guilty and gave everyone back there countries

I'm sure thats more true with India, Canada and Aus, but I'm pretty sure the US booted the Brits out mainly due to taxing, British history is forever littered with problems due to over taxation!!
