In Latin this means: Always brothers.
Turf wars has been more than a game to me for now a year. It has been another family.
This year, i struggled with a serious bout of depression and having to try to help two friends who had enormous emotional and substance abuse problems. There were days that I literally stayed in bed because if I got up, I might have killed myself. But one thing kept me going through this nightmare of a year: turf wars.
I never put this in the forums. But day after day, I would wake up and go through the day to get to end and play turf wars. I struggled with cutting, drinking, I smoked weed, I took LSD. I'm smart, and yet my grades tanked to the point where I was failing.
I came into turf wars a mess. And turf wars fixed me. The people that I've met, the people that have become my friends, you have quite literally kept me alive.
Turf wars became an escape. A reward. I couldn't be high while laying turfs, while having conversations. I would postpone drinking to chat in GD.

I stopped cutting because I could just make my turf bloodred.
There was even a few that understood, and questioned me. They took care of me, gave me advice to help my friends. One or two even going so far as to offer real life assistance in the form of psychologists. While I never accepted, I was touched.
The people here are honorable, smart, funny, and care for their community. And I am proud to be part of this. Thank you turf wars community for a great year. Many more to come. You helped me through my worst nightmares.

I'm glad you've changed. Life is very though and it's these "silly" little things that can actually motivate us. (such as this app) Congrats, Emp and the people who have helped. It's nice to know that there are such nice mobsters out there hiding behind their I-device!

I have the title phrase tattooed on my back, And K I always knew you were a fighter brother,there are times of despair when we all need a hand even though we think we can go it alone, people that look in from the outside always see a different picture from the one we paint, help is all around us bro😺 we just need to look for it, I'm so glad you have come through your despair safe and well K, shows huge courage and strength 👊

I'm glad to see all the positive feedback and that you are doing better. Life is rough and I'm sure will throw you many more curveballs but if you can keep your head up, like it seems you are, you will find nothing can keep you down.

I'm glad you are still here & fighting. Life is not easy; I'm really glad you found something that helps you that's not self-destructive. It sounds like despite all your own battles, you still managed to be a good friend. That makes you a special person. Hang in there. I hope things continue to improve for you.
