Ive seen the stupid numbers that a large city will spend, but like i said i'm in a small town. Also the detroit/windsor one is a huge annually televised show, and is 35 minutes from here. Seems excessive. But i will enjoy them!

I believe I heard the ny harbor fireworks cost the city between 1.5-1.8 mil.

As for me I take a ride to PA(😜 illegal) buy a few grand worth of fireworks, mostly mortars.. Then for a few weeks up until the 4th I'll lite up the block..
Oh don't worry I make my money from this,, it's like an investment
