This post is designed for people to solve weird questions and get answers that make sense. I will start off the post. If you own a piece of land, do you own it to the center of the earh?
-
You only own the surface of the land, the first foot or so. Don't know exact measurements. The rest below is owned by the local land authorities, which is why you need permission for major excavations foundations and the like but not for surface resting buildings like sheds and caravans.
That's the rules as I understand it anyway (: correct me if I'm wrong.

No, you only own about a foot or two......before..... Well..... Depends on where you live.
-
Yes, I own a full millimeter of molten rock.👍
-
You do not own the air above either.

Why do we park on driveways and drive on parkways?

Why do some people refuse to accept the fact that a hamburger is a sandwich?
-
Why is a hamburger called that, even though its made out of beef?
-
Why is it called cargo when it's by ship and called shipment when it's by car ?

If peanut oil is made of peanuts and olive is made of olives... What is baby oil made of??

Actually! There's some farmers somewhere in the US that make wind generator companies pay them money to put them on land anywhere near there. I'm not sure what their argument is but it is legal. I read about it on CNNYou do not own the air above either.

It's because the turbines can disrupt livestock. I think it's prairie chickens that stop breeding if tall buildings are present. I don't know why we need prairie chickens, but apparently those farmers get paid
