Anyone had chicken pox more than once? I've had it twice, and beleive me, it's worst to have it when your not a kid.

Has it been diagnosed as chicken pox? It's quite difficult to get that twice. You should have immunity after getting it once and then some time going by.

Not supposed to get it twice.

When your an adult you get shingles instead of chicken pox.

It was pox, proper not shingles. The Doc told me there's possible variations going around, so you can get them, or you don't build up enough immuinity the first time. She told me shed once seen a patient who'd had em five times! I had pox' from the sole of my feet to the top of my head, and EVERYWHERE in between. Yes, everywhere :/

I had it twice... The first case of it was minor. But the second case was major!!!

It's possible to get chicken pox more than once if you only had a minor case the first time. It's much worse if you don't get it until you are an adult. I was 19 when I got it. Because of my age I also ended up with pleuresy (inflamation of the lining of the lungs.) Once you've had chickenpox, the virus lives dormant in your body forever. Under certain conditions (like stress, etc), you can develop shingles. The majority of people that get shingles are 60 years old or older. You can google both conditions for more info.

I never had chicken poxs as a kid... I got shingles when I was 14 it was the most horrible thing

and oh boy does it SUCK. Had some on bottom of foot even.
