I have an iPod third generation and the lock button is not doing crap... Has anybody else had this problem and do you know how to fix it?

I had that also umm that's unfixable I bought a new iPod..it wud not unlock..u know when u press the home button 3 times a rewind play/pause fast foward it wud not respawn my screen was like frozen but when I held the raise volume on the side it wu show that the volume was raising but then again my iPod is useless so I bought another one this happened to me about 1-2 weeks ago
