Lol I remember asking this same question a while back and getting the same answers... A player named gasface decided to quit tw with a bang and go on a capping spree...he was well known before the incident so it caused a lot of commotion.

I wonder how much the story will change in the next 2 thousand years? Instead of asking the origins I challenge all noobs to write a story in 2400 characters or less about what they think the origins are. You can submit your stories here. The community will pick the winner and all agree to tell that story next gas day to noobs that ask. Go.

GAS DAY ORIGINS Excerpt from the book of Baron
One day in Turfwars a horrible thing happened. All the airplanes ran out of gas! Everyone went insane not being able to use their plane tickets! Everyone started capping one another. Nobody's turf was sacred. Then out of nowhere the great Johnny O. appeared. He had plenty of Gas for the planes and gave it to all that worshiped him. That is why every 6 weeks or whenever he feels like it Johnny calls a gas day to remind everyone how bad their lives would be without him.
P.S. It is considered polite that whenever he is mentioned or speaks in the forums you should quote whatever he says and respond by saying "The Messiah!"

Well it was a great entry Baron...and as our only one I think it's safe to declare a winner...but I think in fairness to people with lives that may not have checked in the forums this weekend we'll leave it for one more day. If there is no more entries I will tell people this story next gas day.
