MINECRAFT

I've recently been looking into purchasing minecraft. From what I've heard from friends its a great game. Yet I'm apprehensive my (quite old) PC won't be able to run it without lag/crashes. I'll try and get the specs for you, but I would just like to ask, what specks do you wreckon I'll need to run minecraft with very little to no trouble thanks in advance(if I get any replies :L)
