Wow!!! I was at a friends place right above CBC where they play the hockey game. 17th balcony. I saw 2 cars get lit on fire and the cops retreat after it got outta control then the riot squad showed up and started tossing flash bangs into the crowd and tear gas. My cousin was caught right in the middle of it. He was beside the truck when it went up in flames and was stuck in the crowd. He ended up getting tear gassed and saw 6 cars get flipped and/or torched. One was right in front of the skytrain(metro) where he needed to go to get home. Everyone I know ended up safe. I went on the street for 10 mins and was trip pin so I went back upstairs to watch the madness.

I read about that this morning. That's terrible. Vancouver was poorly represented last night new need to make laws to stop people like that from breeding

I saw the cars on fire. Pathetic. Even when I was huge into pro sports flipping over a car an lighting it on fire because my team lost never crossed my mind. WTf are these wastes of humanity thinking? I hope they all get arrested and as punishment have to flip and burn their own cars.

Over 11,000 people volunteered yesterday morning to help clean up. Aside from some boarded windows, you couldn't tell that even happened.
People are getting arrested and those fools are on camera. Let em fry!

Well, at least you can never say Canada isn't enthusiastic about hockey. Oh yeah, and that's pretty much what happened. The little circle, the stadium was invaded by Bostonians, and Canada TW lost the fight, and Boston capped a turf(the trophy). Now Vancouver riots because of the little circle.

The riot had nothing to do with hockey. It was a bunch of idiot scum bags. The took advantage of the fact that there was a city full of people celebrating. Knowing that the police couldn't control the situation to distroy OUR city. the hockey fans, stayed and cheered on the Canucks even after they lost. They cheered on Boston when they got the cup. They are true hockey fans. The people of Vancouver where out in full force clean up our city, supporting businesses by the thousands all day. The rioters are not a fans and do not represent Vancouver in any way shape or form. They were a bunch of hoodlooms who intensionly caused chaos to destroy and rob the city
