Mmmmmmm. BACON! my most favorite food. from lardons to rashers, good god I love that smokey cured meat treat.
I think as a chef it's real easy to just stick bacon or bacon fat in shit like a crutch. so I often come up with other ways to inject flavor. but I'm often caught with the dilemma: what tastes better than bacon!?!?!
