I disagree. Eventually handhelds will become an extensions of consoles. Plug and play devices. An example for argument sake... PS 4 and VITA 2, the VITA docks in to the PS4 allowing you to play games to and from both units (save games). Possibly the ability to have universal format games that works individually on both devices (I highly doubt this tho from a revenue pov), maybe even using the handheld as a controller/remote.

The wii u is already set to shorten the bridge between total portable compatibility.bit the vita looks sick:console games,great graphics,dual sticks,ar,2 cameras,mic,quality multiplayer,gps,plus a ton of cool ar games like reality fighters.look up vita ar on YouTube It looks really cool

The wii u controller isn't designed to be a seperate handheld gaming device. As far as I know you have to be in range of the console because it takes no game disk of it's own.
And have you seen the size of it?! It isn't very portable at all anyway! 😋
