This has to be the place for quick help. Tried Google and Apple is calling me in the morning so if that's all ya got just pass. Here's the problem, when I connect my IPhone or iPad to my computer it tells me "iPad cannot be used because the mobile device service is not started". I've never seen it before. Any help out there?

Not sure of your setup but if it is windows try looking at services in admin tools on your desktop and see if the bonjour service is started. Also check to see what other apple cr@p got put into the services and start those.

In case anyone else wonders. From windows you would start / run then type services.msc. That will load the services management console. From there you can find the Apple Mobile Device service. Double click it and make sure the startup type is manual. If it is set to disabled you will get the error.
