Sold all my weapons. Still able to put people in ER. Why?!!!
Forums › General Discussion › Sold all my weapons. Still able to put people in ER. Why?!!!-
Take a look at how many weapons I have. Zero. I attacked a player with 1600 mob fully armed, and I was able to put them in the ER. Each time I attacked, I took 20 damage and dealt 8, and I lost $50,000, but with enough stamina, I was able to win the fight.
Now, I have a few theories why this might be happening-
1. Turf Wars the game knows how frickin' awesome I am, and takes this into account when I fight 1600 fully armed mob with my bare hands.
2. The game is not fair.
3. The message that I should have received each time I attacked "You have been thoroughly killed to death you stupid foolish gimp. Did you seriously think you could take on a mob with no weapons?! One does not simply walk into Mordor. THIS IS SPARTA, you know," was having a day off.Any thoughts?!

I just put you in the ER

I'm going to woop your ass!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Wooping your ass may take a while. Please be patient.

Yes, that's normal when people attack me. I do lose. But it's strange that I inflict 8 damage when I have no weapons. So I can still put people in the ER with enough stamina and health refills.
-
The minimum damage inflicted is 8. Seems the case. It has always been that way. No matter what size your mob or how many weapons you have.
-
Wow. That's so wrong.
-
If you have no weapons you use your fists.... Check it next time....
-
For those who don't know & want to, this was brought up a year ago. (without the drama)
Likewise so is the max damage inflicted, regardless of weapons. And the reason why officially it was mentioned that mob numbers are not everything.
-
#3 should be officialy in the game

You are still damaging the targets health, eventually after 35 attacks or so you will er the player :)
-
Yea you can er him but you could never take any of his turf.
-
Can't understand why you would do that since there is no upkeep on some of the weapons. Noticed a few mobsters in a country in my neck of the woods have lowered their turfs to 1inf and have now sold off their weapons. Why would they do that?

Since winning the game seems so hard and expensive, I'm trying out purposely losing the game, and I'm also finding that quite difficult, but free! It seems that no matter how badly you play this game, you can't actually "lose".
Losing is impossible.
Winning is improbable, and expensive. -

Mediocrity is not so bad. It's OK.

Your an easy target!
Thanks. -
Whatever you do, don't make me earn any of them there pesky experience points, gosh darn it!

Why would you ever wanna play a game do anything with that attitude? To me that isn't fun at all
-
It's experimentation. I played the game for weeks with the intention of being competitive, mobbing up, getting armed and increasing influence. When it became clear that the only way to progress in the game after a while was to pay for Respect Points with real money, I decided it was time to experiment with playing the "wrong way" and see what happens.
It's fascinating- You can still put people in ER with no weapons. When you have had your turf captured you are immune to attack. Basically, playing the game in the "wrong way" makes you invincible. -

So this thread is starting to touch on something that I've wondered about for a while now... Is it possible to succeed without buying anything? Or do you basically end up having to spend money at some point to progress in the game? So far I've done ok not buying, but I've got a long way to go.....
-
@BEEZY you will have to end up buying at some point, if you want to maintain weapons for a decent sized mob you need more turf, which you can only get by buying or capping very small players, I still can't afford decent weapons for my mob!!
-
In a nutshell, the only way you can increase your Turf Limit is by buying Respect Points with real money. For a short time, you can increase your Turf Limit by doing missions and levelling up, but there are only 100 levels. After that there are no more free Respect Points. That means that if you don't buy any Respect Points you can only have a certain amount of Turf Limit (35 I think... not sure).
You can capture more Turfs than your Turf Limit, but you can't build Turf. So of someone captures your turf, you can't replace it except for capturing it back.
-
Basically, whoever spends the most money wins.
