Why does the iPad take so long to charge?
Forums › General Discussion › Why does the iPad take so long to charge?-
Seriously folks. I burn through the battery in a few hours and it takes longer to charge than I get to use it. Suggestions?

Make sure when it hits 100% charged unplug it. Run the battery all the way down. And repeat never keep a battery plugged in. It ruins the battery life.

Never keep it plugged in when fully charged

Steve Jobs put a "porn detector" in every IPad. Each video played at mobileboner.com reduces the battery life by 12 seconds. It starts at 10 hours...so let's see....

Seriously, in case you're using an iPhone charger, don't, it doesn't charge fast. Fastest is to use the charger that came with it (10 watt I think). And if you want to speed her up a bit, turn on airplane mode, that will shut down all of the radios and gps whle it charges.

Thanks for the tips fellas. Well. The real ones. Lol. Anyone else? Btw, it only stays on the charger after 100% if I'm asleep but I remove it immediately when I awake. (Gotta check in here. Lol)

Switch to 240v instead of that 110v you guys use... My iPad will fully charge in 2 hours-ish

Wtf Pimp? My iPad battery lasts at least 10 hours on a charge and that's with almost constant usage. (I've also had it since June of last year...). It only takes me a few hours to get back to 100%....

Are you using the charger that came with it? I lost mine and bought one of those cheap ones and had the same problem. Then I found the original one and it charges fast again and battery lasts at least 8 hrs.

30 watt charger for the pad, the 10 watt charger is for the phone. If for any reason you are using the phone charger for the pad you are trickle charging the battery (which is bad for iToys).Seriously, in case you're using an iPhone charger, don't, it doesn't charge fast.
