It's true no network or database has proven impossible to penetrate, but on the xbox network there would be a higher penalty as the network is paid for, it's likely that the psn got less bad press since they provide it free

No creditcard info has been reported as being stolen and used. When it happened to xbox, thousands of people lost alot of money. The PSN offers much greater security than xbox

Rofl at all you PS players. I've been an Xbox Live account holder for 4 years and in all that time never has the network been down. Except for a day as they upgrade or do maintenance on their system. Never been shutdown cause of hackers. PSN fail!

Xbox live was never shut down,accounts were comprimised but the service was never shut down....
You do realise for Sony to add all the extra security that is needed to keep shareholders happy we are eventualy going to have to start paying right?

This is the first time in 4 years that there has been any problems with the psn. It hasn't even been down for maintenance that I know of. Just the updates every couple of months that you do on your own time. Sorry xbox ppl I'm not going to give bill gates more money than I already have. Especially not to play a game I've already spent $50+ on to buy.
