Apparently going into production April
to be released June/July (maybe even may)
will you be getting one?Personly I will... xD
-
I heard 4g wasn't that great, but idk it's just what I heard.... 😼
-
Where's this info coming from?
-
It I roumor ATM of when it coming out
they traditionally realese around June/July fo the new iPhones
but the google nexus one is realesed may so since it is the main rival in the smart phones at the time they may realese early -
Too bad AT&T won't have a 4g network for at least another year.
-
Prob just guna use the 3G then give an update
-
Pardon my technological ignorance, but what's the difference?
-
G is for Generation. So 4g is the generation of the network. AT&T uses- GSM.
You can think of it in terms of microsoft windows-XP to Vista to Seven.
4g is supposed to be faster, but 3g can be tweaked an upgraded to run at comparable speeds for less money.
To realize the full potential of 4g it is going to cost billions. And new bandwidth is going to have to be allocated. And that is usually acquired by bids from the cell providers.
Care to guess where all that money is going to come from?

Thanks CC

Anybody getting an iPad?
-
No looks like a waste of money
get a laptop and a touch/iPhone instead of trying to cram both into one -

That would be nice. But the customers always has been and always will be the cash cow for cell providers.

Lol I ment O2 bit for rights to sell iPhone 4G
which gives apple money to expand 4G network
and then will get more money from sales of iPhone to help make it better -
I don't think it works that way. The bandwidth bids go to the Government. Or the GSM consortium.
Not sure though.
-
Tbh I have no clue what band widths means
I tried Reading up on the whole technical terminology but failed
have a small tingling that it would mean the amount of information per second??But I hope it happens quick
they should plan and make this in advance -
Did you just change your name or am I insane . @Benney

Ur insaine (Y)

Seem to remember it's the phone companies (o2, vodaphone etc) who pay the government for the use of phone frequencies. I remember when the 3g ones were bought, in the uk alone it cost billions of pounds. Which I guess they don't have access. To these days..

What's the diff in bandwidth between 3G and 4G?
-
4G allows you to do more things faster

3G stands for third generation
-
The boob is correct.
-
⭕⭕ so he is
-
So iPhone is staying with AT&T?
-
You can use an iPhone with other companies
-
Nut we tlkin bout the new one that'll prob be exclusive
-
I'm hoping to get one, it'll be my first iPhone (hopefully). I can't stand Android anymore (although I love about 3-4 features which the iPhone lacks) plus the MyTouch is extra-slow and the screen is tiny.
I'm hoping it comes to T-Mobile.
