I'm playing a game Friday week and need help. Down on the range I'm pulling shots constantly to my left, I have a nice clean strike and have slowed my very fast swing down but every shot seems to curl to the left. Anyone have an idea?

If your right handed, the club face is probably closed. Open it up slightly (chsnge the angle) see if that helps. 👍

I'll try that cheers. Down the range again at weekend, hopefully with a new set of clubs.

Some ppl no matter what they do pull it left or have it fan right. The most you can do is line your feet up to the right of the pin by a little depending on how much it goes to the left. The very fast swing is good jus go back nice and slow and then bring the hammer down. Going back fast can rele hurt your swing and lose control

Start with your grip. If you have big hands use interlocking grip where your right pinky and left index finger interlock. When holding the grip and about to hit the ball, look down at your left hand, you should see 2 knuckles, index and middle. If you see more then at impact you are curling your wrists over closing the face. If you are pulling shots left then the face is closed but you are swinging out to in(which would naturally create a fade or slice). Try following through to the target with the club. When you hit the ball theclub head should cross the point that you are aiming at

Also make sure your feet, hips, and shoulders are lined up at the same target.

I'll bet you a dollar you're leaving your right elbow away from your body on the downswing. Assuming your a righty, if you're a lefty then you're slicing and you can't fix that in a week. Make a concentrated effort to pull the elbow in towards your body on the downswing. If it's any problem other than that you need eyeballs on your swing. $25 bucks for a lesson.

Also I'd highly recommend you not ask the Joe standing next to you on the range. If he's any good he probably want care to help you and if he's not any good, you don't want his opinion. $25 bucks for a lesson.

Correct. I coach for the First Tee in Reno and say that depending on ball flight your coming over or and not inside to out with the club head. Also like stated above start the club head on a line away and outside the back swing to keep head on path for the downswing to come. Google that and should help. ✌I'll bet you a dollar you're leaving your right elbow away from your body on the downswing. My first piece of advice when I read the title was "ignore whatever anyone tells you on a smartphone MMO discussion board". But after reading the advice, i think its all pretty solid. One thing I would add though is to realize your not going to drastically fix your swing by Friday unless you've had a good swing already. I would enjoy the heck out of the game Friday, realizing that most of us shmucks are working. Worst day playing golf is better than my best days at work.

I've not read the above comments . All I was ever told was the worst advice is free advice . Try different instructors and decide what want to achieve . I am now down to 10 after10 lessons and 15 years of putting it in the ditch

Haha now he is really screwed up with all the different swing thoughts he won't even be able to hit the ball. Shaggly is right see a pro and he can usually give just one or two things to work on that will help.

Ya can't tell from that. If the ball starts out straight the slowly falls left the the club head is on a good path but the face is closed a bit. If it starts out hard left ( duck hook) then club face closed AND grip is to strong...right hand over to much. So, if it's start out slow and bleeds left then it's the club path, or the "plane" the shaft is on on your down stroke is coming over.Ξvįɭ Ξɱpįŗę 🔨🔥💀 wrote:
