It's screwed up then. I have newly placed turf only about 30 miles from me that have the 30% thing on them. It doesn't hurt me any but it still isn't working right I guess. It has nothing to do with airports ppl! ANY turf more then 150 miles from location gets the hit. It's not a hard concept

Ditto. Also I have turf in 9 states and Canada too, so the only place I can lay turf without the %, if the rule works CORRECTLY, which it doesn't, is in 1/9th of my total area? That's utter BS.❕VW TDI❕ wrote:

Keep it for plane tickets, rest it shouldn't be in. This is supposed to be a GPS game after all.+1

It's just a discussion not a suggestion or feedback. I posted it in both forums btw, and look which one got more people involved. This one. You're the first to care about the forum, so I say BS and/or who cares what forum this topic is in.

Just done some more tests.
London turf built next to one three weeks old. Gets a message saying not fully established (3days to go). However on accessing the turf afterwards no mention of this.
New turf in Germany (next to one a day old) I get the message and on the turf details screen it shows that it is still weak.
When you create a new turf it only takes into account the age of the nearest turf, but after creation it corrects based upon all your turf within 150 miles of it.

Try building next to a turf more than a month old.
Your recent turf are spread out over a long distance and would fall foul of the new rule.

And one more thing. If I use a plane ticket should subsequent hops from that location be affected?

I think they should be, based off the plane ticket turf date.

It says: "all turf built in cities more than 149 miles from your existing turf"
Key words here: "existing turf". It does NOT say your gps location. So therefore if you hop from a non airport turf you should not have the issue of defensive penalties, because you can't place a turf that far away.
What is unclear is if it applies to real life travelers placing from a gps location "more than 149 miles form existing turf".

The rule is Very unclear. When I make a new turf it says I'll have a 9% penalty for a week and a half, then I go back to it and it's not there. Then other locations where I probably should have a penalty I don't. The rule needs to be defined to a T or else not be a rule.
