I just travelled to a Midwest airport and when I laid turf it says the 30% defense message. MSP is not on the airport list. Is it now the case that any actually real life travel will be treated like fake plane ticket travel. If so, what is the point of laying turf on trips.

Read the announcements page before you post this. It clearly reads there any turf 149 miles from your location will be affected.

It says the penalty is for any new turf planted more than 149 miles away from existing turf.

Your actual location doesn't come into it.

It should be where you have turf and your location if it's supposed to be a home field advantage.

I agree, currently only your turf are taken into account as to whether the penalty applies.

Allowing your physical location as well would give a big bonus for travellers.

I am physically here. I can pound the pavement. There should be a difference. The trigger can be plane ticket usage, not turf plantage.

I'm having turf I laid almost a month ago get effected by the defense rule, I think it's BS.

If you physically travel to a place to put turf down there should be NO penalty, let's hope Nick fixes this and the other bug some of you have gotten on turfs within the last month. (none of mine except the plane ticket turfs were affected)

I still agree with the 30% rule. I think it goes by your real location like where you live. Cuz like it says when you plant a turf far away from where you live you need to get settled there. Even if you are actually there you still aren't settled there unless you live there or been there for like a month. It makes sense to me

This makes no sense, it's a GPS based game. If you are physically there to put down turf there should be no penalty. Period.

Where do you live? How about you input your home address into an iPhone app that uses GPS, nothing bad could ever come from that right? 😒

Well I was on the road when I was looking at the distance thing on my turfs and it was the same exact distance as it normally is. So the game mus b a little smarter then you think

VW, I get what you are saying. But it is a bad development. The developers need to ONLY apply the rule when a plane ticket is used. It seems like lazy and rushed coding to apply to non ticket usage as well.

It ain't that easy to code. Since landing in Berlin I have hopped 50 miles further (see the swagger snake).

All those turf should be affected by the rule (as they are).

The easiest solution is to allow turfs created close to your physical location to be immune as should any additional turf created next to those.
