During the world cup, there were many people who flew the union jack or St Georges cross, and in my area they were told to take it down, because it may offend people who were not originally from the country ie immigrants, I found this to be an absolute joke at the time.
All of a sudden now because William and Kate are getting married we are supposed to fly the flag with pride and what a glorious day for a country.... Bollox -
I'm fed up hearing about this shit, the royal family are dinosaurs who have no place in modern society, why should they be able to live off tax payers money, just because they are related to a time where they actually had power and ruled the country.

Biggest council house in the country is.......

If somebody tried to stop me flying an Irish flag in Ireland there would be ructions. Fly your flag, fuck what anybody thinks, wedding or no wedding.
-
Couldn't give less of a crap about the wedding. We get told being proud to be English and flying the flag is racist. Then they want us to flag wave and be happy about this bull? The tv and radio will be off all day in this house
-
They are putting the general puplic in more danger by doing this big wedding. Prime targget for terrorists.
-
Totally agree.... A local firestation by me was told to take down the England flag on St Georges day because it could "Insight racial discrimination!" Crazy... God save the queen! 👍🇬🇧

When Cameron and cleg n brown went to china recently, the Chinese asked them if they would take their remembrance day poppies off just for while the tv broadcast was being filmed, cos of the humiliation china suffered at hands o British in opium trade, they point blankly refused! Which I am torn in 2 about,on 1 hand it's very close to out hearts remebering our fallen soldiers who fought for what they believes was right, but on other hand,uk want the world to respect them but couldn't do that as a small sign of respect? Especially when u think About it in business fashion,if I was going to try build up a relationship with someone I wanted to do business with and knew they were offended by something ,even if just for reason to play smart to get what I wanted I would do so, what do u guys think about that situation? Not an easy one

Bottom line, you can't please all the people all the time. If I were prince William I would shut down the Center of London, get the best cars and most important people and make the most of the opportunity to show my wife and the world how much I love her. Can't be much wrong with that!

You know, this political correctness BS is going too far when you can't even fly your own country's flag because you might offend someone not from there. I say F THEM, if they don't like it, don't visit MY country. Too damn many people have died for it. While I'm at it, F anybody else that comes into MY country and feels that we should have to change to appease their ways.
Adjust, get over it, or get out.

Oh your forgetting about the people burning poppies and British flags around London centre during the one minute silence on rememance day. They didn't get punished at all...
