Anybody get the chance to play with one yet? I refuse to buy an iPad due to my need for expandable memory when abroad. This looks like it may be a contender.

There are 2/3 there that def give the zoom a run for it's money, Have a look if haven't already

The xoom is a ton of fun to play with. But I bet you could buy something that isn't the model android tablet that can blow right past it.

The new Acer tablet looks awesome and is cheaper than both the Xoom and iPad.

You may want to wait a few months. The Hp touchpad is coming out soon as well as a slew of honeycomb tablets (similar to the xoom). Oh and the playbook just came out too. Just suggesting you look around.

Ya I've been chasing after the HP slate all last year, tha didn't work out. I won't be going to sea until fall at the earliest and that's really what I want it for so I can wait...but damn the xoom looks sexy on paper and in the demos I've watched. Expandable memory made me giddy...does that make me a nerd? Or just lonely?

I say the first. The touchpad sadly won't have expandable memory (I think) but web os is pretty sweet. Samsung is coming with a honeycomb tablet (with expandable memory) though.
