Definitely ask her out... But keep it real. Treat it as temporary, like it probably is.

The natural goal is to fall in love and make babies and live happily ever after. The reality is that both of you will be entirely different people in a few years, and you will want to move on when that happens. You should fight the natural urge, and just have some fun. Maintain your independence!

Hell go for it. But keep in mind if things don't work out you may lose a friendship. So if that time comes try and keep it civil if that happens.
