Hey guys,
I'm stressed out. Works getting to me and I'm bringing it home to the family now. And it's starting to put a major strain on my marriage. So instead of wallowing and blaming the world I'm gonna man up and do something about it.So, what do you guys do to relieve stress? I workout 4 times a week. I don't drink much and I'm in the military so smoking weed is not an option.
Any suggestions... Thinking about joining jui jitsu (sp?) or something like that.

Get a motorbike. Instant stress relief on tap.

Start by making sure your family understands where the stress is coming from & that they are not the cause of it. Often times they can act as a support network and give you that extra little something to get you by.

Breathe, breathe, breathe. Start by exhaling as long as you can, getting rid of stale air in bottom lobes of lungs. Then breathe in fir 4 seconds, hold breathe for 7 and exhale for 8. Repeat 4 or five times. Then take easy deep breaths with exhale always longer then inhale for 10 mins.
During that 10 mins as you breathe in think of breathing in relaxation. When breathing out think of breathing out stress. If your mind wanders gently bring it back.

Control Sab. At least the wife won't take it personally if I lay out all my cards straight up. But I'm posted a 20 hour drive away from the rest of my family so my support group in that sense is kind of small. Nonetheless it makes sense to explain it to the wife instead of bottling it up and tryingnto

I usually go for a long walk... Or drive somewhere with nice views and chill out for an hour taking in the surroundings.... Or smoke dope....
7/10 I will just smoke dope and watch general shit out of my window. -

Find something you're really good at and take an hour or so to just focus on that task and nothing else. It doesn't matter if it's model making, target practice at the range, video/arcade games, bowling, obstacle course. The point is find something that is for you and only you for that brief time and everything else will disappear for a while.

Healthier dietAll attainabl doable things...if that can't bring my head back to normal I'm broken lol
