For those that don't want to read the article, the government indicted people from the top three poker sites for allowing players from the US to play for money. This sucks. I have 115 bucks in that account right now and I may never see that money. At least all of that money is profit and not money I deposited anytime recently

Which poker sites?

Well, no worries. There illegal cash games popping up everywhere due to this. I've found a huge on on the NC/SC border.

So wrong that the government goes after gambling in the first place. What people spend their money on should only be their business

I don't know the answer to this. If casinos are okay by the government, why are internet poker sites so bad?

I remember getting my ass kicked off party poker after the first wave of shutdowns occurred. Tied to Bush's safe ports act. what a load of horse shit. I still kept my poker players alliance pin.

Can one in the US not simply play on a .co.UK site as opposed to .com site ?! Obviously I'm unsure of the legality

I'm not sure but I think that was kinda how these sites were getting around that law. They used that as a loophole. Can one in the US not simply play on a .co.UK site as opposed to .com site ?! Obviously I'm unsure of the legality

Good news. Pokerstars just had an update and now I'm able to get my money sent to me by mail. I'll get it in 2 weeks or so.
