Man! What a time! Japan really needs a break... This is horrible. It's a 7.4, I don't know if there was another tsunami yet or not. 😥

There was no tsunami. But it was a bad earth quake

This is in fact one of hundreds of aftershocks it is one of the largerst yet so a tsunami alert was raised. So no big new news there was 243 aftershocks in the 3 days after the quake and they could potentially go on for years whilst the plates settle.

They shouldn't have to endure a natural disaster? I understand not having to endure genocide or war. Earthquakes are out anyone's control. Every person on earth has to endure some type of natural disaster. Fact of life.

Poor Japan. So sad. Hit with 2 quakes. Another tsunami would be devastating.

The hundreds are aftershocks. This was an actual earthquake.

No it was an aftershock it's just very few have measured higher than 7 and and as its the largest one yet it made the news.
Look on any news website or better that a scientific website and read further than the headline and you will see it was an aftershock not a new earthquake it's directly linked to the original 11th of march earthquake.

They had like 5 aftershocks greater than 6.1 in 24hrs after the initial. One was above 7.0.
