If I hadn't started chilling from TW...

... I'd have probably quit by now. The game is more than a little silly now. Over 20k mobs no sign of slowing up, no movement on free turf limits, no change to 10% rule (and it seems to have final caught up with the pros and idiots alike now so that it's not just an exploit but a must for many now). Luckily (I think) I don't actually give a shit as much as I did, but the frustration in the UK at least is palpable from all corners. TW needs a serious rethink. If anyone was thinking about making a TW type game I'd say now would be the time as I'd say they would have a shed load of downloads.

The game wasn't meant for constant war like the UK is doing.
-
why not? are we supposed to sit around hugging each other? rather 👊codes and smash turf its still fun and when it stops being fun then i wont play simple.
-
Let me rephrase the game was never meant for constant vendettas

Like I said before, people play for different reasons and have different styles. Geographic regions have different styles and the inhabitants must adapt if they want to make the cut in the natural selection. OTSS.Let me rephrase the game was never meant for constant vendettas

When you look at BAS dropping 3k mob just to be able to stand straight you have to take a look at the game and rethink things...
I'm still enjoying the game, my only pet hate is that to stay competitive you have to spend good money on it and be very active... Hard to have a day off... Guess that's what war is all about 😺 -
Belial are you seriously saying TW is as it should be? This game is turning into a joke. And it's got little to do with the war in UK. The games lost playability
-
I'd rather be in the UK then the US , the constant war makes the game fun.

Different strokes...

The way I see it is new players must be super intimidated by mob sizes. To a noob 20k seems impossible to compete with. I can't punch codes for hours...I tried my mind goes crazy....and I'm a big boy with a mortgage and car payments and bills...I can't afford to sped money on an app either. There are a lot of walls new players have to look over to see the green pastures...if it was like this when I started (4k mob was huge then) I probably wouldn't have put a tenth of the effort I have (which is a tenth of what "serious" players do). I've reached gf now...I don't see much compelling me to stay...because if I do stay I'd have to punch codes or spend money to keep up...great game when top mob lists were attainable...got too big for it's britches...my 2 cents

I agree with you BK this game has outgrown itself
-
The thing is that if you started when the game came out you are in a situation that benefits you greatly. You can have a massive mob that you did not pay for. If you start now you might be able to get to 7-10k.
I think midsized players have an interesting situation because they cannot compete with the bigger players. A V does not stop a big player who is burning dollars here. Also, a v does not help a small player increase their turf or income. Often it is more costly to go into the v anyhow as the participant forks out more cash to fight the larger player.
I hear a lot of people big and small complain about the situation. Bigger players seem to get bored but don't want to give up their advantages. Smaller players are constantly complaining about the issue as well, and the reasons are numerous, and will not catch up. Often, they are thrown a wishbone like, 'oh, they won't punch the five minutes of code that show up each day.'
-
There are other issues as well. For instance, if we look at player locations we find that some players had to spend less as the areas were more saturated with players to cap.
I have a theory though. I started thinking about these situations awhile back. I believe this game has developed niches. Players can become the best at certain things if they make realistic goals. For instance, a small inf player can hide under don protection and make it to the top fight list. A player can become capo of a town. A player can have very diverse locations. Someone can have the most hench, turf, cap the most, whatever. Troggy is an example of a smaller mobbed player that had a lot of fun fighting all kinds of battles. There are a lot of things to accomplish in the game. If a person is bored perhaps they should change up their style of play.
-
Obviously, there are players that play this for fun and players that play for blood and are willing to shell out the cash. I think how you want to play, your situation, opportunities, and what your goals are need to be taken into account. Go from there.
-
OG El! told me once to basically take it in stride; otherwise, you'll burn out.
There is a real world out there. Don't make a job out of a game as it might ruin the fun you had initially.

Ideas coming out of my theories for game development would be creating more niches for these opportunities so very small players who don't spend money are not always crushed if they leave the protection of the don.

Nick has changed too many things and at the same time hasn't done enough. Penfold you are just a sad clinger on to his every word.

No! bad Ch€ater! Down! No cheating on the table!

Basically besides, Bella & Cupcake whom have some strong support, there is almost no way for new players to climb the leaderboards or get insane over limit without dishing out $$$. The game can get repetitive for the vets & so I can only suggest one either takes a break or sped some dough. (unfortunately this is the way the game has evolved) mr Ikslopot has stated all valid points that are on a number of players minds.
From day one, the tune sold to us players has been that we've to fund our own play style. And thanks for playing if we decide otherwise. So IMHO, enjoy it while it last or take a break & come back refreshed or join the likes of Hagen, Nixon etc. Or reset. Happy turfing!

All games with code punching systems burn out. It's always been flawed. I haven't punched a code since December, I just don't have the time or desire anymore.
A TW(or anything similar, I look often) where mob is earned rather than invited will gain most, if not all of my attention, and money.
