What college should i go to? Help!

I was accepted to University of Michigan, NYU, University of Wisconsin, University of Illinois, George Wasington University, U of Rochester, Tulane U, and Indiana U. I have no idea what to do! I'm leaning towards Mich. Anybody have any tips or opinions? I'm willing to listen to anybody's comments. Every piece of info helps.

Congrats on being accepted to not just one but, a few good schools...I lean towards N.Y.U because, I'm a native New Yorker but, with that aside, it really is top notch for education. Overall though, take everything into account- are you willing to move? Or travel back & forth? Which school offers a curiculium that, best suits your educational needs? Or your social needs/wants? (it is another chapter in your life) How many outstanding people have started careers with "that" school in their portfolio?...best of luck & keep up the good work. 👍

I live near Chicago, and I would be willing to travel anywhere. Thanks 357 :)

I had to decide between UNC and UM. I was getting into biomedical engineering at the time. UM has two parts of the campus-main campus and north campus. The engineering and music students are on north campus and are a bit isolated from the rest of the school(any wolverines can correct me if I am misstating facts). I did not like this. I wanted to be around people of all different majors so i didn't have 29 engineer friends. I ended up choosing blue.....Tar Heel blue! I would pick UM over Wisconsin and IU though. NYU only if you could deal with the city

Do a Friday - Sunday stay at 1 or 2 of the schools you are leaning towards. This will allow you to get a good feel for both the academic & social sides of the schools & geographic areas. The guided tours don't mean shit. You need to be in a real setting with real students to get a good feel for the schools.
Congrats & good luck. -
Tulane. Unless you love snow and girls without tans.

Well that depends what you want to major in, some are better than others, University of Chicago has a strong medical sector while Tulane is good for Law, but go what your leaning towards. If Michigan seems better for you, go.

👆This is priceless advice. No matter the pricetag, if you can't live there, your education will be total hell and you'll end up transferring. Plan in-depth visits to your top three schools.Do a Friday - Sunday stay at 1 or 2 of the schools you are leaning towards. Congrats on the acceptances. Amongst the tons of things to consider are:
Proximity to parents (far enough away, but close enough to visit)
Living expenses in the city (you are not going to live on campus forever)
Culture (open yourself to new experiences)
Major (what do you want to be doing in 10 years?)Good luck and have fun.
