Let me guess what happens... Israel uses precise attacks against hamas and Hamas uses human shields, civilians die, Israel is forced to pull out, give repirations, and be charged with war crimes... Typical

I mean Israel could win and such or a war could be averted I'm sure but many in Western nations tend to blame Israel. Jimmy Carter and his buddies loooove to insult Israel while making Hamas and those terrorists the good guys.

True, yet many western nations give financial aid to Israel and buy weapons from them... Makes you wonder

Well only America really seems to do that to my knowledge. I mean even Obama doesn't condemn Isreal like British leaders or some South American nations that recognize Palestinian independence

Both britain and America supply them with arms as they also originally supplied the Taliban to fight the Russians and at one point supplied Libya in order for them to be able to defend themselves.
We have a long history of investing weapons in to the hands of rogue countries that provide significant investment opportunities in oil etc...

Yeah, but why give them to rouge countries who can and will bite back? Why didnt they let Israel keep advancing during the 6-day war... Surely theyd get an oil field or two and would be more than happy to give the oil

Why because the government had and will at least in the near future act without thought to the future.
At the time all the decisions made sense in hind sight they were disasters.
Also as corrupt as the world is just letting israel blast through there enemy isn't going to be accepted by th un. No trade sanctions would be put in place so anything israel gained wouldn't benefit the west

I mean America does enjoy giving weapons to whoever happens to have at least one common enemy at the time. But I think Isreal is really needing help and isn't rogue. They are under attack and threats from all sides. They have to defend themselves. I mean Israel can't just let it's civilians be rocketed and it's children killed

America has it's own interests... They could just be supporting Israel to have a democracy in the middle east. And supporting the Arabs to have easier access to oil. But the Media apparently disapproves

Next morning and not a word by the media, Israel must be taking a beating. That, or they are smart enough to realize a nuclear reactor malfunction which can send levels of radiation to Sweden is more important, fancy that.

before you guys go commenting on something like this you need to understand what is really going on.

its written by an Israeli, and is a great history of the entire conflict up to present day.
both sides are the cause for the current situation.and there is a reason the entire international community condemns Israeli actions over and over again, and its not because they are anti-jewish.
its because Israel clearly violates international law again and again.

At this point however, it boils down to this. if you live in such horrid conditions that you would rather die than go on living, you do horrible horrible things, and are willing to fight till the end.
if Israel wants to defend itself, it needs to uplift the quality of Palestinians life so they aren't willing to loose it all.

Easy solution to this mess and it has a double plus in that it will boost the number of Catholics. Basically, douse the whole area with holy water and get a priest to perform a mass baptism. Even better get the water airlifted in from the River Jordan for extra effect. Result = everyone is now catholic and as they are all the same religion then there will be no need to for both sides to keep their political (dressed up as holy) war. Done. Damn. I should work for the UN!

if u worked for the UN you would have to fill out years of paperwork, just to get paper to write the proposal on.

Gaza had greenhouses and was a thriving area before it declared "independence" eventhough Israel still gives medical aid, water, and electricity. And those green houses are used as mortar sites and tunnel networks for terrorists What makes you think a "palistine" won't be the same?
