Don't grow attached to turfs, ever. Or become powerful enough for it not to matter.

Yeah my 4 month old son claimed a turf by tapping the screen and some fkr capped it lol. Revenge is a dish best served cold.

I laid a turf in memory of my Gran who passed away as a result of a rather severe disco tragedy. She got carried away bopping to Justin Beiber, attempted a spot of pole dancing not realising her colostomy bag was getting entangled. The autopsy thankfully omitted this and just put the cause of death as 'Beiber fever'.
She was a very kind soul tho and even left me her farm in her will. Tho I did tear the turf down when I found out the farm was something on Facebook and not something I could flog for half a million.

I had a soft spot for my first turf. Even tho I only owned it for a week before it was capped off me. It was nice to know it was still there. Then the guy who owned it pissed off some major players and he ripped loads down to try to escape their wrath. Including my first turf :(

I think putting sentimental turfs down is not good practice. It's a game, not a shrine.

All turfs are equal - the most sentimental are the ones that earn the most $$$. That being said, I do like the day 1 turfs...as they have real TW history. I would never destroy one, only cap or give away.

I only have "one" that matters, its a marker of when I started the game and my memory sux so, it's pretty cool to have. Funny thing is it's been through a few hands but, noone tore it down...I guess, cause, it's in a dense money making area in the Bronx. I got it back last, right after "The Filling" did his N.Y. (2hr. Capo) sale... :)....good times, good times...

Yes, had one in particular that meant a lot. It got capped, I asked for it back and explained why. Player dropped defense to let me cap it back. Much respect, you know who you are.

I did happen to plant a memorial turf for my nephew who used to play this game. I'm not really worried about it being capped bc I'll just plant another one.

yes, ive got a couple of turf with sentimental value, but they all got capped :( but the ones that capped them said they will hold on to them till im strong enough to take em back :D they not tore them down yet aswell, so their sticking to their word it seems!

A turf whether sentimental or not to someone is their biz. So as stated above by the few vets, those are some solid reasons which is respected.

IMO, the lower yr level & limit, the more prized the turf. Imagine all the blood & sweat put into deciding where to plant, how much it cost & whether or not to add emoji. Then they have to painfully upgrade the turf(before adding the looted property upgrades), afterwards one has to think about the color schemes & whether or not to repeat the process. Geez!

I personally play the game and enjoy it for the aspect of planting turfs. Which is why I try and actually give them each names to mark where I've been. The ONLY reason I've mobbed up is so I have less people able to take my turfs and hopefully leave my little virtual markers alone. I appreciate those that have been kind enough to give back or not cap mine that could.
