Fishing, do women fish?

I've liked to fish since I was a kid. My mother-in-law likes fishing too. I only like to eat freshly-caught fish; anything else tastes "fishy." I have helped through the whole process of cleaning it, although I can't say I really enjoy that part.
@CH, it is possible to hook fish in other places, although I don't know how common it is. Attrition hooked a fish through the back once; it was odd. Apparently in Alaska though, people attempt to do this on purpose because it's easier to catch them. It is such an issue that it is illegal there. I've forgotten the name of the technique, it's something like swishing or snapping or something.

one of the few times I've fished the fish swallowed the hook and it lodged in it's insides. Very bloody and nasty.Peepers wrote:
I have never even heard of that happening. Fish don't just swim straight into the hook. They go near it and bite at it, making the hook go through the top or side of their mouth.Or I they swallow the hook and you impale their stomach.
