I just watched this(a little late I know) and I thought it was such a thought provoking film.but it's also the saddest film I've ever seen.im not sure if any of you have watched it but the ending minute was really sad.

My mistake. I meant District B13 and it came out before bond by 2 years

i agree. very sad but compelling film. I love the mirror it holds up.

It's a metaphor for apartheid in South Africa. And yes, it's based on a true story. It's based on the short film, "Alive in Joburg," of 2005. The short film told of events in District 6, Cape Town, during the apartheid era of recent South African history.

I watch a lot of movies but I mostly watch thrillers and comedy's.I only watched district 9 coz my friend recommended it.I remember when it first cane out the advertising was very clever.

He obviously does remember as he sent his wife the flower and also the alien wouldn't have said they could fix him if he would lose his memory as there would be no point
