Last steak house I ate at was Gallaghers. Good steak! I'm sure there are tons of other places to go to though depends what you're in the mood for.

spotted pig (village/gastropub) blue ribbon (downtown), DuMont (Brooklyn standby), Peter Lugers (steakhouse), Pho Bang on Mott (Vietnamese), Corner Bistro for burgers, the corner (la esquina) for Mexican, Dok Suni (east village) or kun jip (k-town- in the 30's) Korean, Le bernadin (French seafood), and check out Ma Pêche for me in midtown. The National (Bowery) and drink pints at Murphy's on 52nd and 2nd. tell them tek sent you. (I have their address tattooed on my ass.)
-
soho is good. I'd walk from the west village all the way across 8th street too. oh yeah Veselka is good too. The ramen shop on university and west 12th setigaya or something. that place kicks ass. get extra eggs. and you have to eat at gray's papaya. don't opt for a dirty water dog.
-
Excellent I was just going to ask if Peter lugers was still open . Anyone know if you have to book miles in advance for that ??
-
you should book in advance at Lugers. yes. always open. porterhouse for two, mid rare, carved. boner boner boner.
-
and if you're there you can check out real life turf wars Williamsburg! where I dropped my first pin! (and Lugers is a few blocks away from the 1st annual turf wars party.)

I always just look for pizza made with baked ziti on top of it. My favorite next to pineapple pizza. I was under 21 and REAL cheap the 5x I went to NYC, I'll have to bookmark this thread for future trips to the big apple... Thanks tek! 🐱🐱🐱

53rd. midtown east. the best carts are in that square by st. barts. I love eating street food off carts. just not the dogs. they're not crispy like the papaya joints. and not all halall carts are created equal either. midtown ok. the Late night shit on the Bowery is a little suspect.🐱 mama tek wrote:
