Where is this lost ro resistance explained?
Forums › General Discussion › Where is this lost ro resistance explained?-
In the last half hour, I started losing money on some of my caped turfs. It is not explained in the annoucemnt section or rules. Can someone point me on how to correct it.
-
If you cap too much from player you start paying resistance. It's designed to stop bullying/muling.
I'm not sure how you stop it, but try the help forum I'm sure I've seen it mentioned in there.
-
It's retroactive, which really sucks. I had to dump 15 of my 60 turfs. This game is now only for people who spend a lot of money. Very hard to cap your way to high influence.
-
So if u cap too many ur income drops? And then u have to relinquish the turf to get back to the best income for area?
-
I think it's 30 percent of your total turf from one player you get resistance. It was to stop Nick having to micro manage mulers. Just spread your turf through different players and no problem.
-
It's still screwed up. I tore down 20 caped turfs and put up a new one so of the 6 turfs I have in town, only 1 is someone elses. And I'm still getting screwed for 5% resistance on that one turf. These new rules have screwed this game.

You have over 1,200 turf. How many don points did you have to buy?
-
Pay attention, she capped her way up to 1200
The rule is designed to prevent people from using a second throw away account to cap their way to high influence aka a mule account. If you are seeing resistance it is because most of your captured turf is from one player.
Next time instead of tearing down try capping more turf from different players. This will lower the percent of total turf capped and remove resistance.
Also little tip, the server takes time to update your income. So testing down all that turf was not necessary. You should have waited just a little longer for it to catch up.
-
& yes, I HAVE over 1200 turf, but like I said, my limit is really low for having that many turf & for playing as long as I have been.
-
For this resistance does it matter who the turf was capped from or who created the turf? Im guessing who you capped it from but just to clarify. But after you have turf for awhile you might not remember who you actually capped it from because it only says who created it and that you now own it.

Good question, not too sure but I would assume to jeep it simple it is based off whoever created the turf. That would prevent a walkaround the rule by having more then one throwaway account. How do you know if this is affecting you? Never heard of it before

I agree very low, but $150 for a free video game and a year of playing is pretty expensive to me. I'm glad you are happy with it.

The rules were changed w/o warning and I got screwed. -

I thought when it changed 30 min later that it would be enough. 3 hours later and it is still changing. That is tooo long.

Bella, you don't need to justify spending any money. There's no reason people shouldn't spend money on a game they enjoy, if they can afford it. Spending money helps to support new upgrades, etc. Being a free game, it shouldn't be required, however, it shouldn't be frowned upon either.

The rules were changed w/o warning and I got screwed. It amuses me how people like to play a free game, not support the dev, then pass comments publicly (when it's clearly criticism/judgement on another). But above all, have the audacity to get mad when things don't work out the way they expect it.

Maybe you got lucky or had more of your own turf before. I wouldn't complain though since the rule has been around for a while. I don't think it seperates it by town. (What is caped turf? Are all your turfs superheroes there or something? :p )Mystery wrote:
