I can dig Manhattans, but I actually fell off the third story of a building downtown after a bunch of manhattans once. It's a long and humiliating story. Anyways, I usually order a sidecar, and if they don't know how to make that, I just get a beer.

Trying to think of some mixed drinks that are relatively manly. Manhattan, Sidecar, Tom Collins maybe?, Gran Marnier and coffee? Heard about something that was like whiskey, tobasco sauce an beef boullion cubes. That might be a little too manly...

Jameson. neat, generally. a cube or two, saucey. I also like a filthy dirty goose martini with a couple boinks of Tabasco and 3 olives or caperberries. like a bloody without the foreplay but something to snack on. mostly I like the beverage they call beer.

Jameson is great for swigging, plus the ergonomic bottle makes it so easy to smuggle into wherever you need a good kick. Now that Pete Carroll's gone from SC I'll be needing thaT a little more...

Redbreast is another great one neat or on the rocks. Like Jameson but with a little more fire.
