Climate Smart Program
Forums › General Discussion › Climate Smart Program-
If you live in CA and have PG&E as a utility provider, please look into the Climate Smart program. You pay a small percentage on top of your bill which is then fully donated to green practicing business.
You can off set the carbon footprint of your home by doing this.
If you want to know more about it message me as I just worked on a video to profile the companies involved. Or google it. Either way look it up.

Oh mama. I love it when you talk dirty.

I LOLed at "carbon footprint."
I'm gonna keep bumping it so one of them baic mofos will bite. -
What makes the PG&E initiative better than other existing carbon offset program? I have very little trust in PG&E commitment to the environment.

Because there is zero administrative fees. All your money goes into local companies like arcata public forest, the conservation corps, recology, and my favorite, the Sierra Nevada Brewing company. To name a few. Also the amount varies with your usage, so a family home might pay at the most 5 bucks when a single room apartment might pay as little as 30 cents. What makes the PG&E initiative better than other existing carbon offset program? Sounds like a good idea. You'd think in the worlds richest country that asking people to pay a little extra to help offset all the resources they consume wouldn't be a big deal

Good idea tenderloin, but
I'm not really the "green" type. Don't get me wrong, I dont want to pollute the earth to death but I'm not an extremist. -

Owning a car or television puts you in something like top 10% richest in the world. Most people spend more on their smartphone data plans per month than others in the world will see in a month. You can be rich without being a millionaire. And I hardly think spending a few extra dollars on your utility bill for the environment could be considered extreme.bee ryan wrote:

Here is the truth, I recycle. That's it. I drive an SUV, own lots of electric devices (which I rarely turn off instead leaving them to sleep), and use drive thru windows. I already pay much more than I used to due a so called "smart" meter. No thanks PG&E, I'd rather hold on to my $, than pay extra.
