only problem is, this place had a MoMo Maki a.k.a. cunt roll.
seared shiro maguro and tempura asparagus topped with raw scallop and lemon strawberry jam sauce.sake loser has to eat that monstrosity.

really? I was lost on the raw scallop and fruit jizz. I like me some sweet savory but this sounded about as delicious as a jelly omlette filled with tinned fish.

I just don't like scallops. I've tried so very hard. applied myself even. scallop lovers tell me I cook them like a champ but something about the flavor. I hate to admit, the only time I found them slightly tolerable, was when I ate the one on the corner by the hot spot of the oven. wrapped in bacon and quite seared and vaguely on te well done side. this is not how I serve them, only they don't make me ewww. Bay scallops in ceviche are moderately acceptable as well as long as all scallop flavor is beaten out of it with citrus and salt.
raw salmon straight up is meh. I love lox though.

Too bad mama...I make a mean scallop stir-fry...lobster, scallops, some asparagus and a nice las moras...my mouth is watering...until I look at the left over Chinese I will be eating for supper and remember I'm poor.

so dinner tomorrow. I'm having a bad hair month. I accidentally cut my bangs too short, thrice, and everytime I tried to fix it, I created another problem.
so they're kind of at my hairline. seriously, it's bad. probably won't look right for about 7 weeks. I'm even considering cutting a mullet because that way it will at least look intentional.
is wearing a woolen cap at the table socially acceptable?
