Any apps I update just act as if they are waiting, so I cannot use the apps, bit no apps actually update, so they are stuck doing nothing, and I cannot open them. I find that the vast knowledge of the turf wars community can help me and anyone else in this situation, so any advice?

Update the apps ONE BY ONE. Click update TW, while you read iBooks. Then when you've done that update iBooks, while you play TW. etc,etc,etc.

Yeah that's happened to me, typical IT fix, turn off the phone and back on

Turn off the device then turn back on.......
Only happens to me with multiple updates so as don line said, one by one mate, should be fine 👍
