San Fran Chinese parade

Just was at it. Froze my nads off. And almost went deaf from the firecrackers. I think my favorite part was the 40 year old drunk off his ass stumbling around the crowd throwing those pop-its at everything and wearing knee pads.

No, there's a "china town" in practically every city... I assumed it's just another way of saying "it's a German community, it's a Chinese community, ect" I wouldn't say they are the largest population yet but are steadily increasing.!ZAZ wrote:

San Fran Chinatown is the largest Chinatown there is outside of china. The Chinese parade in San Fran is in the top 10 parades in the states. The busses give instructions in English then Chinese then Spanish.

Oh and I just took a boat tour around the golden gate bridge and Alcatraz. Tomorrow I actually get to go into Alcatraz. I'm excited for that. Get to see where Al Capone was locked up. And machine gun Kelly.

Oh I have, I saw a documentary about Alcatraz a few years ago. And the boat tour I was on today was playing a recorded interview with one guy who tried to escape but failed and his buddy drown. He said he was going to sit under water with a snorkel until it was dark then start swimming 8 miles to where he wanted to get out. Had a plastic bag filled with air to keep afloat. He lost the snorkel though so he couldn't stay under water and got caught.Kozy wrote:

Lol, not smart, the guys who DID escape made their own raft and left at night at the start... I'd like to go there myself, it's well thought out.
Gonna pop some turf there like a mr Nixon once did eh?😉

I would love to but I'm over limit by about 75 and really don't want to tear them down just to plant 1 super sweet turf that I might not even be able to place because there's no roads. I think Nixon got it before that was a factor.Lol, not smart, the guys who DID escape made their own raft and left at night at the start... I'd like to go there myself, it's well thought out.

Here's what the pamphlet says.
Officially, during the 29 years Alcatraz was a federal prison, there were no successful escapes. However, at least four convicts disappeared and to this day, have not been accounted for.And under a picture the caption reads,
Inmate Theodore Cole vanished from the federal prison in 1937. Strong tides and icy waters most likely failed his escape, although he was never seen again.I would be more scared of getting eaten by a shark.

If you can find the book "last train to alcatraz" by Leon Whitey Thompson in the gift store, buy it. He was a prisoner there, one of only four to be released. It's his auto biography and a very good read (gramaticly questionable but good story). He use to give tours but I'm not sure if he's still around.

I'm pretty much sure my story makes sense too, they lost track of the 4 because they made it to dry land and lived on... A mythbusters episode covered it, even with the raging tides they eventually found themselves on dry land... Others may have escaped but thus was the most successful I bet.
Ah well, sounded like a cool idea
