Neither, got an Acer laptop a few years ago n yes I actually paid $400 for Windows sucks dick Vista n another $400 for warranty= $1600 out the window, but at least it can take a punch;)

I work for google deploying mac and dell laptops and desktops. It really depends what you need the machine for at the end of the day. Personally for games and work Dell machines support more although Apple have some high end machines... For high end prices. I think dell is the way to go.

Is it dell or hp that are renowned for being poo poo? The new dell quad core touchscreen hd freeview all in one at around £8/900 was 1400, is a nice machine, although I must admit ended up paying 150(£975) for iMac dual core 3.06ghz 8mb ram and 500gb hd, and I'm am happier as each day passes, although my nxt desktop choice would have been the dell!!

I had a Dell xps a few years ago. And now I have a MacBook pro. What did it for me was the fact that I had to get 4 different motherboards, 2 screens, 3 video cards, replace the keyboard and the plastic body of it. This was 2 years after I bought the Dell. And all within 6 months after it started breaking down. It started with not having sound unless I plugged in external speakers and had to bend the plug inside the comp so it would actually work. After all that shit the damn thing broke down again so I called Dell and they sent me a brand new comp!! Only thing is that they sent me an inspiron instead of an xps because they said it was comparable to the xps when I bought it. They told me I had to send the old one back or I'd have to pay for the new one. I kept both and didn't pay for it. So I went out bought the Mac and sold the inspiron. Dell ftl, Mac ftw.

Only good thing about Dell is that they come right to your house to fix it. After the first 3 visits I could take completely take apart and rebuild my POS Dell on my own.
