Because we use this forum and no one wants to see it get cluttered with stuff that belongs elsewhere.

You can get a forum ban for it too. Can't you? So it's not worth it. Just go to a code site. You'll get mob faster.

I can understand why codesshouldnt be posted here I just wanted to know why it made ppl so mad when it's not a big deal..

The old tradition was hammer the player and hammer their turf.

Cement shoes have made everyone lazy.

And the reason we hammer people and don't let them get away with is because it wouldn't take long for this place to look like the invite forum.

If everyone started posting codes in general discussion, it would become a pain in the ass to navigate, and read anything useful between all the codes. There is a forum for codes. They belong there, so this forum stays sane.

I guess i depends on the question. Some are clearly H&S questions, where others could be bot H&S or GD.
The main reason there are different forums is efficiency.

If you need help, it's much easier to find your thread again in the help section.

I don't know how the dev team is structured, but I would guess they have a person that monitors tech, and one who monitors sugg. This lets them to do their jobs more efficiently. The tech guy isn't going to sift through a ton of Gen Disc threads to see if people have problems.

Likewise, Help section is almost exclusively player supported. It just makes things easier. I know it was mentioned that not many players read the help section, and for that reason, the players that don't read or respond in help don't want to see help topics in General.

A place for everything, and everything in it's place.
