I know it's a substantial performance increase, and it's a job well done. I just don't really understand the motivational process of turning so-so cars into "good" cars, when you can just start with a higher performing, better engineered car that is made to take the punishment.Oh i wasnt picking faults with the Veyron...your last post made it sound like you were "wasting power" looked like it was aimed at the Veyron my misunderstanding 👍
Surely you have to be impressed with taking 280bhp motor and adding over an extra 1kbhp?even if half that power is wasted as u say its still more tgan doubling the standard power. -
Like everything else mate personal preferance, for example call me mental but if money was no object i would take a maxed out Evo 7-9 over any super/hyper car purely because i think it looks a ton better 👍

90k on a civic type-r? That thing better float n fly!! I build 8/9sec civics for WAY cheaper.
IMO Id say skyline. Rb26 tq monster 280hp stock. You slap a single turbo n bullet proof the block u could have a MONSTER! Tweak a few things on the motor better suspension n ud smile just lookin at the 1/4mile slip
actually buildin a civic right now for $20kish, parts, labor, paint etc All motor n it's gunna be a 9ish second car

k20a,k20a2, k20z1, k24a2 or a combo.. k20 head on a k24 bottom end 😻 with the right tuner and bolt on's 300hp on a very stock motor. Put that into a 2000lbs car you have yourself a bullet or death trap😏Mate suggested The B18 but theres a civic round my area with a K20 and thats crazy! Never seen one with B18 so dont know the difference.
main thing that sets a b-series n k-series apart Is the k20 sits backwards to what Honda guys are used to. The intakemanifold is in the front
were as the B is in the back -

yep depending on the motor $6-10k for a stockish swap, IMO worth it if you have the time n money very good base to start with in a Honda.O-Dogg wrote:

Cars are all slow and crap. Yamaha R1 or Ducati 1098, both less than £12k and can pwn mostly all cars and they look a hell of alot better standard or modded

My view also ,it's like putting Barry mcguigan against Tyson, doesn't take away from mcguigans skill, but will buckle under pressure,I think it's the challenge for true modifiershendywarez wrote:

I love my 1991 Honda Civic Si with a single D16A6 with GT28 turbo boosting 18psi. It's like a gokart on steroids

Actually Brown, I think this thread was based on the cars we "everyday" joes could afford and fool with. I agree that Bugatti is a beast, but that's straight out the factory with no mod. Where's the fun in that?Bugatti Veyron. Read about it, and laugh at any engine that uselessly produces power it can't use. Especially when done by a hack-job "modder".
I know I'm going off topic, and I'm sorry about that. I just can't help but snicker at the "fast and furious" gang.

No competition...

I don't know. I might try buying a Bell and Howell keychain digital camera and modifying it to shoot like a Leica M9 with a Noctilux. If it's fun, I'll let you know.Brown Note wrote:

86 corolla. Or the JDM hachiroku. Perfect power to weight ratio. Perfect enougth to even compete with the R34's in drift works.

Lmao....Yeah I'd rather be able to take a chick to the "candy shop" in the back of Skyline, than a R1. Damn helmet gets in the way.
