Todays "Hero" ๐๐๐ผ๐๐

What defines a hero in these days? In the 10's-90's it was the soldiers overseas. But recently, a hero has become several kids who beat the stuffing out of a younger kid and post videos of it on YouTube or Facebook... Like Yesterday in Phillidelphia.
How exactly is that being a hero? Doesn't a hero mean someone you can look up to and respect?
I guess in these days....๐๐๐ -
Only in society today are there stories of breakups and movie stars in the headlines right next to political unrest, starvation, natural disasters and war. It really makes you think.

So then what's the difference between a hero and rolemodel?

Is that because a rolemodel is someone you look up to after a while of watching them and a "Hero" is a Russian singer singing (trolololo) becomes a hero as soon as you see him?!ZAZ wrote:

A hero is a person that puts the lives of others above their own. They must pass a practical exam demonstrating this heroism during truly dangerous perils.
Candidates for the label of "Hero" are often dead because of it.
Hero alive, participants dead = hero, honorable mention.
Hero alive, participants alive = hero, second class.
Hero dead, participants alive = hero, first class.
Hero dead, participants dead = hero, third class.
-
What if the participants are morally dead?

I could see a prospective hero teaching a small band of people to murder the innocent in order to survive using his own bones and teeth as weapons against them. I might demote him to martyr for that.

Oh, ok that's a beautiful dictionary description but the bottom line is that in TODAY'S society a hero is a group of teens beating a boy and going to jail... Why?
Because people think like: "oh what a badarse! Went to jail!"
Or people admire several guys beating up one guy
Or it could be that some adults hate children and seeing one get beaten up "warms" their cold soulless heartsWhatever it is, I dont get it, or the sense of morality these days if FUBAR'ed

In this scenario, the Hero would be a random person seeing it happen and help the one getting beaten up.Oh, ok that's a beautiful dictionary description but the bottom line is that in TODAY'S society a hero is a group of teens beating a boy and going to jail... Why?

No... For some reason the teens beating up the kid are viewed by YouTube and Facebook as "heroes"

they are not heroes they are fucking pussyholes. Fucking pussies. They needed several guys to beat up a kid. Fat shits. I hope they, facebook, and YouTube die a horrible and painful death. First, cut off all their skin with a fruit knife then get a tin of hot coals and pour it on their exposed muscle. They would be mutilated by now. slice up their tongues and choke them with it. Hahahaha! They deserve it.No... For some reason the teens beating up the kid are viewed by YouTube and Facebook as "heroes"
