I just hopped to Paris from Calais, took days, no help from police maps and then did a set of missions. 3maps in a row! Sometimes I hate you nick

Life is full of humour and irony....ahhh and also if u had them before u would of used by now getting to Paris.....but u are there now and have 3 police maps for ur next great adventure...:-)

Has any1 worked out the rough cost on average to hop?? Like how much per mile?....worst case and best case scenario an then the average??????

Yeah there is a post in the help forum, some ppl have patience I hopped 7 miles the other day and took aaages.

Yes go through forum tho cheapest method was to build upto 64 then add ub, though I guess could be even cheaper now with new upgrades 😄

Hi,
I went into more detail in one of my help forum posts, but the key thing to know is that if your turf is 84 inf your hop range is 0.84/2 = 0.42 miles per hop...and if it is 100 inf the range is 1.00/2 = 0.5 miles and if it is 119 then it is roughly 0.6 miles. That goes up drastically with police maps...hopped up to 3.9 miles using just two maps. Mileage will vary. I do my outstate hopping with just 100 infs and inner city hopping with 119 infs just because I am a cheapskate :)

I use only 84 now, its the fastest non map way when you take into account unequiping the special upgrades. When money was tight I used the 64 method, 84 way is 750k more expensive per turf than the 64 way.

Also depends how fast you want to get there and how many UBs you have...and if you are currently in a war with someone that has access to lots of carbombs :) ... I watched a continuous string of 100 ub turfs stretch towards me for 90 miles recently at probably the fastest rate I have ever seen. Would be interesting to see a race someday or maybe some best times.

Oops...Wifes in the hospital with broken back and I have all of our ithings in a pile next to the bed here in the motel so grabbed her iPhone this AM when I answered the above. Please don't PM her (shiva) with followup as she is confused enough on pain meds and isn't playing very much. Challenging her to a race might come across very very wrong.

I put a suggestion once for a charity turf hop rally. Probably the worlds first virtual cross country race!
I figured nick could set up 'racing accounts' with the same starting turf limit money etc, with the first turfs all at a pre chosen start line, then they race to get to a finish destination by any means necessary. Good for charity, good advertising for nicks company and the game. A virtual rally would be newsworthy!
