The royal family have been a part of Britain sinca a while back, but are they any use today? Should they be living a life of extreme luxury paid for by us. Should they be lecturing us about the environment when they own multiple range rovers and other expensive and extremely polluting cars.
I just want to hear your opinions on this. In my opinion i think the royals should have to earn their money in some way, if they cannot then something should definately be done.

I agree they shouldnt just be given mobey. But we cant do awatly with them they are ine of the last english things that we have.

They bring a lot more into the country as a tourist attraction than they actually cost us. I agree there are too many 'hangers on' but the actual royal family ie queen and co are good for us. It's just all the bloody cousins aunties and uncles lol

I Don't mind the royal family only thing that annoys me is they get a yearly allowance of tax payers money but the queen is sitting 220+ mil personal wealth...

Think of it as the head of a large company, they still get paid and most of em are rich. I bet the prime minister of your country is rich yet is still being paid by taxes.

You know how many £Billions we give away in Foriegn aid? Over 8!
British Tax Payers are paying for China to build record breaking bridges!

Totally agree. And the queen is working 15 hours plus a day. I wouldn't choose a monarchy but the immediate monarchy definitely earns it's money

Grow a collective nutsack and strip their titles and expansive public property. Most countries would have had them under house arrest as soon as their power was taken from them. They lost that power for a reason. It's a shitty form of government. And now... You guys are being suckered by them. You PAY them???? Unreal.

I agree mostly, but then they do generate huge amounts of cash that outweighs there cost. Clearly they have nothing to do but if people pay to go to England and buy loads of random crap due to the monarchy then why not? And this is coming from an Irish citizen who was brought up to hate England royal family haha
