I noticed today that I had several 84 turfs actually making negative income because all the UB's that have been placed in Chicago by big players, as well as a couple by smaller players.
I quickly capped the smaller ones, and it dawned on me how UB's have further made the elite MORE elite, and the newer players roads even harder.
It used to be as a new player you would pay protection to large players until you could afford a 84 turf. Now, that is not enough.. and to make matters worse.. if you create 100+ turf with a smaller mob it will be capped.
I know Nick is working hard on making this game possible by Noobs. I just seems UB's have made it harder.. which is not good for TW IMO. -
I noticed the exact same thing today.

Most of the time I will either ask them to move it or move my turf (there are exceptions regarding certain turf & certain players). I try to use them on inactive players so no one complains. They are wonderful for hopping, since I hop as cheaply as possible. Of course, most players would probably call me a turf hugger.

If I move my turf I don't bother to say anything. If I ask them to move it & they don't, then they can expect it to be capped. Admittedly, I am not a patient person. So if nothing has happened after an hour (assuming they aren't still in school) then I will usually attack the turf so that I won't be paying protection while I wait. My advice to others is to give it 24 hours. I personally don't like to go to sleep knowing it's still there, so I'll usually end up capping it before I go to sleep, πΌ unless I just discovered it.

Same here Mystery, I give them a fair warning before capping. It is amazing how few actually do something about it.

Hahaha Bella! π
I actually get a good response from people. If they started here though then I've almost always contacted them before they hit level 30. I try to welcome the new people that come in as soon as possible. So far the active ones have all been cool. (Yes, we've actually had some people show up & plant a couple turf here & never do anything else with their turf here.) -

I think the upgraded tufs used corectly for a new player can be a huge advantage, I wish I had them to cover inactives when I first started and money was tight.

As more and more people passed me up in mob size I decided to keep my union bosses in my hometown where I am the big dog and i know i would not be capped. And I've had to go through my turf once a week or so to make sure I am not paying anyone. If they're smaller than I am and I don't know them, I immediately cap it. If I know them and can cap them I either move or tell them to move their union boss. And if they're larger than I am I quiver and run my turf away very quietly. It is annoying but I like that they exist

Yeah. I hav an issue with players charging me. Personally I'm just goin to cap them all. My income isn't that high (about the same it was in June) so I really content afford to lose that much.

Noobs can use car bombs to help them

Nah, having seen photos of Das's notebook, I can safely say your mind is too numb to think about recipes...all you feel is the hair on the back of your neck sticking up. Same feeling I got when I asked Das why he never made it to Mnpls and several hours later watched a continuous 90 mile long path of 100 inf turfs grow between Rochester and the twin cities. :)DAS HYENA ππ¨π When I show up U will get farmed.
