Inactives
Forums › General Discussion › Inactives-
It annoys me when inactive are capped near me or in my capo area which takes my capos or lower my income. If it's a noticeable difference the capper must pay. I just look for clusters and drop a few upgrades, better to collect income from them than to cap.

I try to teach all the new players around me not to cap inactives that have very little turf, or very little turf in one area. I tell them about how it can lower the income of everyone. Those of you with a ton of turf - zraygo, reddawg, wouldn't notice the difference. I do however. This is especially true if the inactive person left turf lower than 84 inf but higher than 1 inf, since an 84 inf turf can make some good money. You will make more money by getting protection from a player over time than capping someone out of an area, causing each of your turf to make less money. Obviously, if you are in an area with a ton of people this wouldn't be a problem. Cont'd...

There are a few exceptions, like capo. However, you don't need to cap every inactive player's turf to get capo. You should be able to leave at least one. The active people may not like being capped, but they can plant more turf. It should also be incentive to mob up. So I do my best to teach them early or as soon as they show up in an area. However, if they have been told & they still mess with my income then I will come after them.

Really though, such preaching about mob up or shut up, it's not turf hugs it's turf wars...but people defend inactives? I'm pretty sure this game is for people who play it...or nick would create cash cows that just sit there to boos income. I live in a small area it is getting crowded by inactives...all the fat cats making ba-billions an hour gonna cry cause so kid tha WASN'T PLAYING gets capped. Belial I normally side with your logic most times...but think about this game in 2 years. There's gonna be soooo many inactives at that point you won't even be able to see the map in places. Trim the fat, out with the old in with the new

My point is as mystery said active players can create more turf. Inactives cannot. And there is no player that makes billions an hour. Ill be on the level about income. I make 35m right now after paying my 20m upkeep. Thing is I'm not on max weapons. I'd only be making 24m out of my 1200 turf. See why I care now?

Let's do sone math shall we. Let's assume a maxed income area. 52.3k. Ok now let's take two players out if that area. 44.4k I believe. Total loss of 8k. Ok not a big deal but let's assume I have 100 turf there (a regular scenario for me) ok I just lost almost 1m an hour. A very noticeable amount.

I still don't understand the logic here. Cap mostly active players. It's not that hard.

Who are the inactives in London?
-
I get the argument...but if the player next to me goes to war with the guy over his income...then by your argument I would go to war with both....for messing with my income. Then Belial would go to war with a 3 of us for the same thing. It's got to end somewhere.

So then your solution is turf hugs? My logic here B, with zero offense meant, is that people (here especially) start playing then stop playing after a couple months...my map I'd littered with inactives and it's getting annoying. And in two years time ( for example) it's gonna be waaaay worse. I was recently approached by a player in my area who read my views on this and asked me to please not cap inactives in the area and I won't because he asked. Truth be told I probably wouldn't have anyway, but the point is there won't be room for noobs soon.

IMO I think if they haven't been playing for more than a few months then you could cap them. Not too much that it ruins income just enough to raise your own income
In the long run. -
I'm not saying never cap an inactive. I'm saying IMO it should be done responsibly and sparingly. If you need to go off its better to do so on an active player as they can rebuild.
-
IMO I think you shouldn't worry about it and let people do as they wish.

what is "an area" defined as? how big?

Your logic is flawed here if that active player is over the turf limit. This game would be a lot better if there was a higher turf limit for everyone. Players that don't want to pay to increase would become more active and spread out more and the players that pay to increase would still do soMy point is as mystery said active players can create more turf.
