So I've been busy (slow work week) and have literally doubled my mob size to almost 900 (my goal is 1,000!).
But on my way past 600 I realized, due to the lack of inactivity in my home city and my current level and associated turf limit, I probably can only support a mob of 500 to 600 with miniguns/RPG and Body armors. After that my upkeep will surpass my income and... well I'm hosed.
About 10 or so levels ago I captured about 10 turfs to exceed my 20/20 to 29/20 for an extra boost to income to prepare for this move.
But now I realized that lets say I keep growing my mob.. there's no limit.. But with an inactive city there's no point, I can't capture the lower level turfs (understandable) and in the end because there is no current limit on mob size, really thats all the game comes down to. Who has the biggest mob and the turfs to support it. Well in an inactive city, you're hosed.
Anyone offer any insight? (Didn't do this on the iphone :P)

Time to take a road trip to SF or LA. I am sure Nixon, Eli, and Trish will welcome you with their open arms.

Well long term I do travel a lot for work, I was in LA last week but had no available turfs as I was at 29/20. At the time my mob was in the 400's.

Yeah man, it's on you to make the game fun for yourself.. Try picking a fight ;)

I sold turfs to make new ones that had double the income of my old ones n next time ur in la trish mite be a worthy challenge he has over 100 turfs in LA and more than half he captured (maybe 10 from me) but i stand no chance hes over 1k mob so good luck and may the best player win

Pony up to Nick. It is true the game is all about mob, but I think Nick designed the game to insure that serious players would be forced to buy respect points to up their turf limits... Honestly, how much do u play. Hrs per week, honestly??? Time to make a little donation. Put all ur points toward turf.. I have turf all over Cali in Mexico and Hawaii. Next time I go c my cousins, I'll have some in NY too.. Love this game! Someday I'll own th white house.

TO EVERYONE THATS "BOYCOTTING" buying points; you aren't hurting Nick or other developers. There is too much of an appeal to buy points for other LOYAL mobsters.
And you can't boycott something you've NEVER BOUGHT!

Nice work fish. I wonder if this game makes enough for Nick to earn a living or does he need other work also. That's the question I'd ask him if I was in NYC today
