Ive been following the news about the 3ds and today found out that it could be selling in hmv and game for £230!!!!! And one game will cost £40!!! For a HANDHELD console!! This is just terrible! Especially since ive heard in america it will b around £170 in some states! But SERIOUSLY £230 pounds is more than a wii! And im pretty sure u could get a ps3/360 for less than £230. I think nintendo should hav made an RRP for this product but i think they didnt so they wouldnt b blamed wen the shops sell their product at such a high price. With this price i cant see the 3ds selling particularly well, which i hope isnt the case as i want ninty to do well... I would hate the same fate to befall them as sega... But it might happen seeing as the 360/ps3 are more powerful and have better motion sensing tech. 😓

Read the t3 website, retailers will be buying the consoles for £170 and then they will be selling them for £230. I can't understand why people will want to pay that much for a handheld console....

Yes, but microsoft and sony have forced ninty into a corner... For their next console they cant go for all out power because said compainies have more experience at this and because if ninty do they will end up failing like sega did with the dreamcast. I think that Nintendo will have to come up with a radical idea that may even, if all goes UNIMAGINABLY well could take the games industry in a new direction... Indeed i am most interested to see what ninty do for their next home console

What a ridiculous price, and also didn't I hear somewhere that the 3D screens could be dangerous to kids under a certain age.

They will have to go full power and a radical new concept to even think they will be able to pull market share from XBOX/PS3. Wii is no where near the same league as those two.

This is a quote from the 3DS manuell, "This console is not intended for children under the age of 6. Persons 6 and older should not play this for more than 30 minuites. Prolonged use will damage the eyes.". What a peice of shit

The most realistic reply. Curiousity sells, big time. And Nintendi have had nothing but success with every version of the Dual Screen since it's initial release. Personally, boring.
