If you're going to delete a thread please give the offending person a heads up on why it was deleted.
Deleting the thread without an explanation does not take care of the root problem.
Delete the thread and replace it with a post stating that it was deleted and why. Let people learn from their mistakes

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍🙋👍

Idk z, I would think nick & beauty are busy enough without having to delete a thread & then make a new one explaining why it was deleted.
-
How about just a pm to the offender?
-
Yeah sounds good
-
Yes they are too busy for that. I'm sure they have a mod or two that helps them in forums.
By deleting the thread with no notice they are treating the symptom (the offending thread) and not fixing the problem (an error in judgement)
The offender continues not knowing that anything is wrong
-
Last mod I saw was by great game dev. My thread got deleted on it
-
I guess they think we're all big enough to know better, so when something goes away, we should already know why.
The lack of chastisement can be seen as a sign of respect.

We understand that every now and then a discussion gets heated enough to warrant deleting the more overheated posts. However, if someone regularly makes posts that violate the TOS and/or offend other players, experience has shown that a permanent ban is the best solution. If someone can't comprehend for themselves their errors in judgment, it's not on us to offer a them private lesson in forum etiquette.

I see your point, but I look at it differently. If I have a customer that is doing something wrong (something that they should no better) I don't secretly take something away from them and feel like I shouldn't have to teach them etiqutte. (sp)
As a business manager of over 30 years I take some of my time, approach the customer and politely explain what they are doing wrong.

Maybe some people do get pm's; I've never had a thread deleted, so I don't know. Heck, I pm people & tell them not to post their invite codes in the wrong forums. Half the time they don't know why they were ER'ed since they don't bother to return to their posted thread. Now if the person that ER'ed them would tell them why, then they'd get it.
-
Was this because I deleted my post in the vendettas forum? If it was it was because I Saw that what the thread I started was disrespectful.

Lol you're a business manager having a winge that someone deleted your post. Like ndog suggested, if you don't know how to behave gtfo, this is not amway, kmart, or macdonalds. This is mofing iPhone game baby! ( and iPod and iPad )I see your point, but I look at it differently. If I have a customer that is doing something wrong (something that they should no better) I don't secretly take something away from them and feel like I shouldn't have to teach them etiqutte. (sp)

This is a customer service experience. If you use it and someone deletes your post, go play golf or something Ffs. Who cares!
-
I was supposed to say this is not a customer service experience, mods pls fix lol
-
This absolutely is a customer service experience. This is how the dev makes his living, puts food on the table, this is his business. He is the owner/operator and we are his customers. Because this is an iPhone game doesn't change that.
Being an unhappy customer ATM I have 2 choices; get mad, leave and take my business elsewhere or get mad, politely air my disagreement and continue playing. I choose the latter.
I met nick earlier this year and found him to be a polite, caring, intelligent person. I would ask him to take a normal retail customer service business model and put it into play.

Nah mate, that's bollocks. Capitalism can eat my shorts. You're part of the problem, man.

Difference in management style. You could debate that. Free private market means the owner can serve whoever they want.
-
You're absolutely right and I have over the years promoted several of my customers to non-customers

He wants tw to be like macdonalds by bringing that capitalist crap to tw. Sure nick charges fir the service (parts) so he should. But, I'm just saying this is not walmart. Demanding nick behave like mainstream retail consumerist orintated assholes means he is one of those assholes. It is not a retail experience in the same way as you want it to be. Deal with it. Sending a msg to everyasshole who makes a stupid thread is ridiculous- and encourages attention seeking sociopaths to Do just that- get it now?Backspace wrote:

Lol. Demanding? When did I demand? I have an opinion and I gave it, hardly a demand. Message every stupid poster? Again hardly. I'm sure the majority of stupid posts don't get deleted. I wonder on average how many get deleted per day, per week?
Sounds like you might have some issues mainstream commercialism.

Asking for a little customer service OS hardly requesting mainstream commercialism. .Belial wrote:
