I was considering buying an iPhone 4, but AT&T's data plan is terrible. That being said, should I wait until my plan expires with my current phone and then switch to verizon and buy the iPhone? I have heard they plan on providing an unlimited data plan, but does anyone know how long that may last?

I have no problem with ATT but I do get close to my 200 data every month.

Get off att. Go ahead and switch to verizon. Guess you didn't know that you can use phone and data on their service. And they don't have unlimited data,yet if ever. I can go on and on but go ahead.

Wait untill the summer when apple releases a new iPhone. Apple regularly releases a new one every June or July.

I like my ifoam on AT&T. I haven't had signal drop outs or antenae problems except when talking to this one chef and his shitty verizon droid phone. I pick up reception where others don't. like the subways and basements. not just in NYC but in the humble cesspool of misery, providence rhode island.

Doubt they will ever have an unlimited data plan. It will probably be similar to the wifi hotspot service plan... 3gb $30, 5gb $50/mo. Being a truck driver and have had AT&T and verizon, verizons 3G network is way better than AT&T. I very rarely lose 3G coverage.
